About Me

The first movie I remember seeing in the theatre is The Town That Dreaded Sundown, which hardly is  an auspicious introduction to film.  But from that moment, I was hooked.  I was the weird kid who had too much knowledge of movie facts and too few party invitations.  The only time I ever skipped school was to see a movie, and, to this day, I plan sick and vacation days around movie openings.  (If it’s a horror film, I call in sick.  All other films, I use vacation.  Don’t ask me why; it’s my system.)

I hope you enjoy reading my posts, and please comment!  I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Dale: love the blog. Your passion for movies is probably why we are such good friends. I will forever remember you introducing me to the notion of seeing 2 movies in one day…perish the thought!! Keep it up, perhaps you can get a book and movie deal out of it, a la Julie and Julia!

I love that you have “a system” of vacation/sick days depending on the nature of the movie. That’s one of the many things that just makes you a phenomenal person to know. Here’s to hoping that your blog is a great success!
